The
Wall tells the story of meaning of the Vietnam Veteran’s Memorial in a
way that is easy for children to understand. While in Washington DC, a young
boy and his father walk around the wall in hopes of finding his grandfather’s
name. In their searches, they come across different people also searching for
the name of their loved one. Although the boy would rather play in the park,
seeing these people and things that others have left behind sparks his interest
as to why his grandfather’s name is on the wall. His father explains that these
soldiers fought in the Vietnam War and this was our countries tribute to them.
After learning that, the little boy decides to leave something behind for his
grandfather.
